Terms of Use & Limitation of Liability – Vanguard Malware Scanner
IMPORTANT WARRANTY DISCLAIMER (“AS-IS” CLAUSE)
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. Self-Managed Usage Model & Exclusion of Support
Vanguard Malware Scanner is distributed for fully autonomous and independent use.
- FREE and PRO Licenses: Acquiring any license (including the PRO tier) represents a payment solely for the right to use the software’s advanced automated features in a self-managed capacity.
- No Dedicated Support SLA: This purchase does not include live technical support hours, response SLAs, custom security audits, phone calls, or manual server disinfection services.
- All Sales Final & No Refunds Policy: Because the activation of a PRO license triggers immediate and non-recoverable partner provisioning costs from third-party infrastructure (Imunify), all sales of PRO licenses are strictly final, and no refunds of any kind will be issued under any circumstances.
- Subscription Management & Cancellation: Users may freely cancel their subscription in PayPal at any time to avoid future renewals. Upon cancellation, the client will retain full access to their PRO features for the remainder of their active, pre-paid billing cycle. Auto-degradation to the FREE plan will trigger automatically exactly one hour before the expiration of the paid monthly cycle.
- Bug Reporting & Patching Policy
We value the stability and safety of the WordPress ecosystem. If you discover a software bug or error in the plugin:
- You may report the issue by providing detailed reproduction steps and email them to [email protected] with the subject: Bug – Vanguard Scanner.
- Our Commitment: We commit to making commercially reasonable efforts to reproduce the error in our local test environments and, upon confirmation, release a corrective software update as soon as practicable.
- This bug reporting channel is provided in good faith and does not constitute a warranty of immediate resolution or a technical assistance services agreement.
Technical Constraints & Daily Scan Quota (PRO Plan)
To guarantee service stability and prevent abuse of the cloud analysis infrastructure:
- The PRO plan provides access to automated scans and cleanups scheduled via your server’s native CRON.
- Daily Ceiling Quota: The use of the scanning engine is strictly capped at a maximum of 30 scans per day per website.
- Temporary Suspension: If your server triggers more than 30 scans within a 24-hour window, the API quota limit will be reached, and further scans will be temporarily blocked. Scanning will resume automatically the following day.
Code Quality, Security Standards & Verification
Since this plugin is self-distributed (outside the official WordPress.org repository), we have engineered the software under the industry’s most rigorous guidelines to guarantee absolute peace of mind:
- WordPress Coding Standards (WPCS) Compliance: The codebase strictly adheres to official WordPress architecture guidelines for maximum security and performance.
- Strict Access Control: All admin panels and AJAX routines enforce strict capability validation (“manage_options”) and WordPress Nonce verification to completely prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF).
- Data Sanitization & Escaping: Every input and output stream is fully sanitized (“sanitize_text_field”, “absint”) and escaped (“esc_html”, “esc_attr”, “wp_kses”) to eliminate any Risk of SQL Injection or Cross-Site Scripting (XSS).
- Secure Remote Requests: Communication with the Imunify Connect engine is conducted exclusively over HTTPS with active SSL verification to safeguard metadata transmission.
- Zero-Telemetry Privacy: Vanguard does not collect, store, or transmit personal user data. Scans are strictly restricted to file metadata and database injection pattern matching.
